Questions and Answers

The Questions for Bazaar page is a service hosted on Launchpad.

It provides a web-oriented 'forum' environment to ask questions about the installation and use of Bazaar. You will need a Launchpad account to be able to login and pose a question, but it may be that your question has been asked and answered already: you can search and browse previous questions without login.

There are also related 'Answers' pages for close relatives of Bazaar such as Bazaar-Explorer, QBzr and so on.

Internet Relay Chat

Bazaar developers and users are often found in #bzr on irc.freenode.net. We keep a list of irc nicknames on the IrcNicks page. You can find irclogs at http://irclogs.ubuntu.com

Issue Tracking and Development

The Bazaar bug tracker is in Launchpad. Bugs and requests for improvements are registered and tracked there.

For information on contributing to development, see BzrDevelopment.

Beyond the Core

Bazaar has a large number of add-ons and associated tools that are an important part of making Bazaar a joy to use. See BzrExtras for details.

Other languages

Bazaar is actively used in many countries. GUI tools and documentation are available in multiple languages. See BzrTranslations if you would like to assist improving these translations further.

Joining in

New people are always welcome so please feel free to make as much, or as little, contribution as you wish. Our goal is to make Bazaar the VCS that people LOVE to use: learning, making friends and having fun along the way! Of course, developers are very welcome but helping others use Bazaar (IRC, mailing lists, translating docs, etc.) and spreading the word about what we're doing (word of mouth, conferences, blogs, etc.) are equally important:

  • Who Uses Bazaar? If your project uses Bazaar in its development then show it off here.

  • Planet Bazaar The blogs of some Bazaar developers can be read here.
